SERVICE AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FOR TUTORING SERVICES
SERVICE AGREEMENT
Updated 1/29/26 at 11:00am

Boost Learning Tutoring Services is committed to supporting student success by matching students with qualified, expert instructors. Boost Learning oversees tutoring sessions and related processes to help ensure a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment for both students and instructors. This agreement outlines the responsibilities of parents/guardians, students, and Boost Learning to promote clear communication, accountability, and a positive tutoring experience for all parties.

COMMUNICATION
Parents will be provided with updates regarding student learning through weekly session summaries. For private tutoring, every student will have a profile which includes information regarding their learning goals, established by an initial and ongoing data collected by the Boost Learning instructors, school, or parents.
All communication will go through the Boost Learning administrators. Kindly refrain from contacting the tutor directly.
Our aim is to honor the instructor's allocated session time, which is dedicated to student instruction. The Boost Learning administrators will be the main point of contact for any questions or feedback regarding learning goals, scheduling, payment, etc. If communication with the instructor is necessary, a Boost Learning administrator may schedule meetings within the student’s session time or as a separate meeting billed as paid time. Please reach out to your Boost Learning administrator regarding the compatibility between student and teacher and adjustments can be made as necessary.

SESSION TIME & SUPERVISION
SCHEDULING CHANGES: Please note we require 24+ hour notice for any changes in scheduling. Sickness related changes require notification at least 1 hour before the session. Boost Learning reserves the right to request a medicate note. All other scenarios result in a loss of a session.
For 2-student classes: If one student needs to cancel but has provided notice 24+ hours in advance, the session will be rescheduled for both students. If notice is provided in less than 24 hours, the session time is forfeited (loss of a session) and the class may still proceed with the second student unless it is agreed upon to reschedule.

LATE ARRIVALS: While we understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause students to arrive late, we do not expect our tutors to compensate for the lost time. However, if a tutor is late, they are expected to make up for any time that was lost.
LATE PICKUPS & SUPERVISION: Tutoring sessions end at their scheduled time. Parents/guardians are responsible for picking up students promptly at the conclusion of each session. Older students may self-dismiss if approved in advance.
Tutors are not responsible for supervising students beyond the scheduled session time and are not liable for students once the session has ended. If additional supervision for a late pick up is needed, please contact your Boost Learning administrator immediately.
-
A 5-minute grace period is provided. Pick-ups more than 5 minutes past the scheduled end time will incur a $20 late pick-up fee.
-
If pick-up is more than 15 minutes late, an additional charge of $1 per minute will apply to compensate the tutor for extended supervision time. Late pick-up fees will be billed to the account on file.

REFUND POLICY
-
For private tutoring, in the event that a package must be refunded due to extenuating circumstances, a refund can be issued after deducting the total amount of the used hours based on an a la carte rate from the total amount paid.
-
For group classes, if you notify us before the class starts, you can apply for a 75% refund or a 100% credit on your account for future enrollment.
-
If you notify us before the 2nd class starts, you may receive 60% of the remaining balance refund or 100% of unused credit on your account for future enrollment.
-
If you notify us after the 2nd class, you may receive 50% of unused credit on your account for future enrollment.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF TUTORING ENVIRONMENT

I will maintain open communication with my child about their interactions with the instructor and tutoring experiences.
-
I will ensure my child uses their phone appropriately, especially during tutoring sessions, to foster transparency.

-
Phone calls
